General Inquiries

We are 100% volunteer drive with no shelter facility, before you call PRGP please take the time to navigate our website and read through the contact information provided.  If you still haven't found the answer to your question, email us and we will do our best to assist you.

If you cannot keep your Pit Bull any longer…
Unfortunately, Pit Rescue of the Great Plains CANNOT TAKE any owner surrenders.  Our organization is very small and we can only take needy Pit Bulls from area shelters where the dog's life is in danger.  If you are trying to re-home your own dog we suggest click here to find help or search for pit friendly shelters in your area.

If you are concerned about Pit Bulls in area shelters…
We are aware of the staggering number of outstanding pit bulls that lives are in danger in animal shelters.  We have established relationships with all area shelters and assist in taking dogs when our group has space in foster care.  We also network with other area rescues to help as many needy pits as possible.  The fact is that only 1 in 600 Pit Bulls really gets a second chance.  So if you would like to help a pit bull in a shelter, please consider fostering a dog for us or another rescue group.
